Walls of Water: Impending Danger

Posted on 24 July 2010

Dreamed of a pool in an interior space, right on the shore. An enormous surprise wave came, followed by another, with the sea crashing into the pool area. The second wave became a wall of water, and stayed that way (a clear wall made of water). Other waves came and went. Water walls rose and new enormously powerful waves arrived. Waves began to reach the stairway steps of this building. I ran up the stairs as I sensed ominous danger. Others decided to frolic in the waves, which I warned against.

Beauty and Danger all in one. An enormous wall of water would seem irresistible to me. You have some really great dreams. lucid dreaming isn’t as effortless as it used to be. I went for a period where I didn’t do it for two years, and I lost a lot. I wonder if your ability is still as good as ever. This is pretty wild for a regular dream. Water seems to be integral to your thoughts, conscious thought just mirrors the unconscious, I guess.

I’ve had dreams like this. Of stormy water and floods, as you say, signs of things to come.

One occasion I was at my favourite Seaside Town, Eastbourne, I was on higher ground near the foot of the South Downs. I heard tannoy warnings of a large wave heading towards the Town.

On another occasion, I dreamt I saw a bus full of people drive into the sea. The next thing I saw was the bus parked out on the road, with sea weed all over it. Since then I hate seeing cars driving along beeches.

Another occasion I was somewhere else, walking on a long pier. There was nothing else around, just the Sea, it was up to the level of the pier, and popping through the gaps – a bit scary.

Have had many other dreams of rough water, they are scary, as the one you have illustrated very well above must have been.

Have frightening dreams of other things such as fire. I sometimes wonder if they are memories of our previous lives, and how our previous bodies died. They say the mind hides memories of our previous incarnations, but sometimes come forth in dreams.

I want to be hypnotically regressed to find out something of my previous lives.

Natasha, you and I have such similar dreamscape experiences. I think as you do, that many of these are possible past life memories shooting through during dreams. I have had past-life regression and the first time I did it, some memories surfaced I’d not want to remember, from some pioneer life. (Hard living!). And then the second time, all these lives flowed through, one in particular was that of being a boy soldier in the Roman army. I even named who the emperor was (and had to look it up, only to find there was such a Roman leader and there was a big war going on during his reign). It’s all so fascinating to me.

Very interesting — you heeded the warning and made haste to avoid what was coming. The others seemed to be lost in their pleasurable moments and refused to hear the warning.

Here’s a little Jungian interpretation: water= consciouness/awareness. You are suddenly coming aware of something that feels a bit overwhelming- but parts of you are having fun with this new and sudden knowledge. You go upsatris to aviod it- up- possibly a spiritual place…

The interior space can give you hints about what kind of new information the dream is showing you. What kind of place is it?

The pool is man-made- so the aawareness may have to do with man’s world- rather than an awareness of something in your nature or bilolgy…

    Just food for thought…
